Accident and Emergency

Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has Emergency Departments located at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital and also a nurse-lead Minor Injuries Unit located at Montagu Hospital.

On average, 430 patients are seen each day across the three sites, giving a total of more than 150, 000 patients being seen in Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, over the course of a year.

The Consultant-lead emergency team readily engage with the Research Department in order to deliver successfully on a range of research projects, including Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs). The Medical Teams work in close partnership with Research Nurses to ensure that all research is delivered to the required high standards dictated by the necessary regulations.
